Darryl Anka
Hollywood visual-effects artist (Star Trek, Iron Man, Pirates of the Caribbean; b. 1951, Ottawa) and cousin of singer Paul Anka. After two sightings of his own in 1973 near Los Angeles, he claims to channel the entity 'Bashar' since 1983-84 — 40+ years of sessions, the book 'Blueprint for Change' (1990) and the Bashar Communications organization.
What is claimedA star of the modern contact circuit: Rolling Stone (2026) documented 400+ person rooms filled and sold-out tickets; events in the U.S., Japan, Australia and Europe. His material circulates at the level of Seth or Abraham-Hicks.
Skeptical viewNo verifiable evidence supports the entity; channeling is explained as dissociative states + performance (Skeptic's Dictionary), in the lineage Seth (1972) → Ramtha (1977) → Bashar (1983). Skeptics note the irony: the channel is a professional maker of space illusions, and the paid premium content raises the ethical question.
