Brooklyn Bridge abduction (Linda Napolitano, 1989)
In the early hours of November 30, 1989, Linda Napolitano said she was lifted by a beam of light from her Manhattan apartment into a craft near the Brooklyn Bridge by three grays. Budd Hopkins called it his most important case ('Witnessed').
What is claimedHopkins reported 20+ witnesses, including security guards under FDR Drive who claimed they saw a woman and three figures float into a craft.
Skeptical viewThe case relies on hypnosis and anonymous, never-identified witnesses, with no physical evidence; in 2024 Carol Rainey (Hopkins' former partner) challenged it as a possible elaborate hoax.
