Meier's metal samples

Metal samples Meier says he received from Semjase, examined in 1979 by IBM scientist Marcel Vogel in a session recorded by the case's promoter.

What is claimedVogel described structures 'within structures,' the presence of rare thulium, and a material that was 'metal and crystal at once,' concluding 'with any technology I know of, we could not achieve this on this planet.'
Skeptical viewVogel was a chemist with an honorary doctorate (not a metallurgist with a PhD) who later turned to 'crystal healing'; the favorable sample vanished before any independent re-analysis, and the IIG group reproduced its 'exotic findings' with common aluminum (an instrument artifact).
